Baptism is an act of obedience because Jesus instructed us to be baptized. However, it is not necessary for salvation. It demonstrates submission to God and the decision to follow Christ. We do water immersion because we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in Him.
Baptism is held on 4th Sunday in February (winter), May (spring), August (summer) and November (winter) at 11:30am. Children (grades 1-8) are required to attend a baptism orientation to understand meaning of baptism.
